Location: Plymouth, MI
JOB DESCRIPTION
MAY NEED TO DRIVE AROUND 70 miles each day 3 days per week as part of their job- potentially in personal or supplier vehicle
MUST RUN MVR AS REQUIRED
Schedule: M-F 9-6 Eastern Time (with flex depending on business needs)
May work up to 50hrs per week
THIS ROLE IS 100% ONSITE/OFFSITE AT PARTNERS/SUPPLIERS AND RIVIAN (NOT FROM HOME)
Role Summary
In this position you will support the durability verification and validation team for all vehicle and
component testing along with road load data collection for a specific program. You will
collaborate with the other parts of the durability group along with chassis, dynamics, and
program teams to confirm test setups are correct and to report any opportunities. Your experience
in program management, fatigue, block cycle testing, data analysis, and 329 rig testing will
ensure success. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to Rivian’s mission by

Responsibilities
Conduct durability testing and data collection.
Set up and operate component testing and vehicle rig testing.
Data analysis tasks to identify trends and anomalies.
Prepare test reports and presentations.
Manage multiple testing and data collection projects for an entire vehicle program
MANDATORY AND MOST IMPORTANT SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Experience with performing analysis with nCode to perform loads
• calculations for body, chassis, propulsion, and suspension systems and components
• 2+ years’ experience of MTS 329 rig testing with drive file development
• 2+ years’ experience of RLDA with data post processing
• 2+ years’ experience with component level testing
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, materials
engineering, or a related field
10+ years of durability testing and data collection experience
2+ years’ experience of MTS 329 rig testing with drive file development
2+ years’ experience of RLDA with data post processing
2+ years’ experience with component level testing
Ability to manage multiple testing and data collection projects concurrently for an entire
vehicle program
Understanding of accelerated fatigue testing
Experience with performing analysis with nCode to perform loads
calculations for body, chassis, propulsion, and suspension systems and components
